Slow Savory BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

  • Bull’s Eye Original BBQ sauce
  • Honey
  • Horseradish
  • White Vinegar
  • Tabasco
  • Pepper

Optional Ingredients:

  • Dr. Pepper
  • Kahlua
  • Very Finely Chopped Onion

Directions:

Empty the Bull’s Eye into a pretty high sided pot. Fill the empty bottle about 2/3 with vinegar, shake and pour into pot.

Add about 1-2 cups honey (depending on how sweet you like it), a spoonful of horseradish, a couple healthy shakes of Tabasco, a few shakes of pepper.

Stir and bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 to 3 hours – this allows the honey to caramelize and will cut the heat of the horseradish and Tabasco. Check the sauce every 30 minutes to ensure that the sauce is not boiling. If using Kahlua or Dr. Pepper, reduce the honey by 1/2 cup. Remove from heat when desired consistency has been achieved.
